Barasoain Church located at the heart of Malolos, the capital of Bulacan.
History:
As we all know, churches are considered historical because of the special events that happened within the place. Barasoain, said to be a replica of the Barasoain Church in Navarra, Spain, was founded by Augustinian Missionaries in 1859. This church served as the session hall of Malolos Congress, the first congress in the Philippines held in September 15, 1898. It symbolizes the church-convent complex that is favored by Spanish Missionaries. This two-structured landmark consists of the church and the adjoining convent.
During the time of feud between the Filipinos and the Spanish troops, Emilio Aguinaldo and his colleagues decided to transfer from Cavite to Malolos to strengthen their defense against the enemies. Barasoain Church served as the home of Aguinaldo and some of the Filipinos for the mean time. Here, they made plans in accordance with their goals in regaining the provinces they gave up to the Spanish troops. They signed up constitutions regarding the fulfillment of their plans. People also used this place as a location for voting. Though, the church was destroyed by fire in 1884. However, renovations were done resulting to the slight conversion of the whole place.
In this church, the Malolos Constitution was drafted in September 29, 1898. After sacrificing the lives of some Filipinos together with their strong conviction and allegiance, they successfully won over the enemies. Eventually, the inauguration of the First Philippine Republic was effectively held in this church in January 23, 1899. This significant place witnessed the powerful alliance of Filipinos towards the country’s freedom from Spanish conquerors.
From then on, Barasoain Church is frequently visited by Filipinos and even foreigners from different sides of the country. And because of its popularity and oldness, many people planned to celebrate wedding, baptism, first communion and other religious activities in this church.Even the former Pres. Joseph Ejercito Estrada vowed his oath of presidency in the altar of the church, causing him to be the only president who took his oath in Malolos, aside from Emilio Aguinaldo.

this is one of my choices… at gus2 namin ng reception ung parang garden… plz help me to find a venue for the reception
yes mura lang ang kasal sa barasoain P3500.00 lang at walang problema sa reception. Sa loob mismo ng compound ay puedeng mag garden reception. Malaki ang garden, malinis at maganda. It is well kept and well maintained.

hi we were planning to get married on jan '11 kindly send me the total cost pls. to for us to budget every thing thank you so much!
wedding fee is 3500.00, if non-parishioner, there is an additional fee for church construction and maintenance… Flowers and church arrangements are not included, it will cost you for about 5000.00 but it depends kung may kasabay ka.. kung dalawa kayo na ikakasal at the same day share kayo so 2500.00 each of you.. there is a well-kept garden nearby so hindi mahirap ang reception.. and meron din function hall.. garden /function hall fee is 6500.00… hope it will help!
