Batis Asul Catering

In November of 1981, BaTIS ASUL, Kapampangan words meaning Blue Spring of Water was established as a swimming pool resort facility to house the catering services.

The business has since grown, matured and expandd. They now do off-premise services too. They have done weddings in Baguio City, and Corporate functions as far as San Juan Batangas. They have done all sorts of catering services possible. from as little as a Romantic date for 2 to a Company Christmas party of 3000+ guests.

The management of Batis Asul is now being handled by the second generation who grw up absorbing the “foodies’ lifestyle”. Food and Beverage is headed by Lynette Lansang Kottis- she is graduate of Hotel and Restaurant Administration at the University of the Philippines in Diliman and has worked for Marriot’s Hotel in San Francisco, Sales & Marketing, and Metro Manila & Out of Town Operations handled by Jun Cruz, a graduate of De La Salle University who took up AB Psychology. Under these departments is a roster of more than 70 employees. Just like the management, most of theses personnel- chefs, waiters and staff are members of the second and third generation, their fathers and/or mothers worked for Batis Asul during their time, thus we can boast of trust, quality, and total team work.

” Cons: At first I though magkaka-problema kami with the caterer. We booked them March 2005…by Jan 2006 we were asking for a food tasting pero hirap sila mag reply via email (di pa kasi ako nakaka-food taste, si hubby lang nag taste nito kasi I was out of town then). When we asked via phone, sabi nila they’ll just inform us pag may food tasting na. Pero wala, hindi kami na inform agad, and we had to take the initiative to call and follow up for the food tasting. Also, yung sylvannas nila medyo payat Oh, and yung basic package would include just some votive candles as table centerpieces.
Pros: Masarap food (nachos, beef stroganoff, salad, chicken tropicale with mashed potatoes, pasta, fish fillet with tartar sauce, sylvannas). Refillable Iced Tea. Generally affordable. Ino, the AE who assisted us after Feb 2006, was really helpful and accommodating. Kahit harassed sya and kulang sa tulog eh natulungan naman nya kami, and naayos nya menu namin (with the menu additions we requested), and nandun din sya on the day of the wedding. They also accommodated our request to have some candles put in the reception restrooms (para may konting ambience naman sa restrooms). In the end eh naka-2 food

“Catering for 2 consecutive nights, jan 13/06 our rehearsal dinner LUAU PARTY & Jan 14/06 our wedding proper(ceremony & reception) it was surely something new for them, they had to find a way to have a makeshift sleeping quarter for their staff & bring all materials & freezers they need to keep the food fresh, but they never made us feel obligated & uneasy. If i could only give them more than 10, i would. Jun Cruz, proprietor of BATIS ASUL, was an angel, he found ways to come up with all, i mean ALL of my requests. And i am a super dooper OC bride. Chair ribbons had to be skyblue & applegreen as well as table runners, waiters had 2costumes, luau on the 13th & black pants white top on the 14th, colored plates on the 13th & white porcelain on the 14th, etc. They gave us special treatment during the food tasting, gave us 2nd rounds for free, went to oculars with us 10 months prior to the wedding, had the inititative for a tent set-up for their staff since we couldnt house all their waiters & staff at the hotel coz it was fully booked with our guests.His staff gladly helped in the setting up of ALL the decorations during the 2 night celebrations even if it was not their job to do so and to top it off, Jun offered a chocolate fountain with fruits to dip (and i know these costs a lot!) plus two bonfire set ups for FREE as gifts! This was a major surprise for us. Even after the wedding, Jun would keep in touch just to say hello. That made us feel super extra special! They deserve the highest ratings.Super highly

“i love batis asul kaya lang nagka-problem kami sa kanila nung wedding. actually hindi naman talaga problem pero mejo nakakaasar lang. ganito kasi yun… when we got batis asul way back in march, sobra talaga namin silang love. dun sa mga nagtatanong at namamahalan sa batis, what we did kasi was just to get their catering service at hindi na yung kung anu-ano pang wedding package. we didn’t need naman kasi the package. we had our own cake, our venue had its own sound system, we didn’t need the bubble machine, at kung anu-ano pa kaya catering lang talaga yung kinuha namin sa kanila. sobra tuloy mura lumabas nung package namin. nakakatuwa!” — clarice
