Chapel on the Hill

8 November 2007 23 Comments

The Chapel on the Hill is unique and has a coze ambiance. It has a circular floor plan and is so calming not only because of its location but also because of what you see around when inside the chapel. It has a 360-degree view of the surroundings through its glass walls (and windows). The view is so lovely and the place is so solemn.

The chapel has a circular pattern on the floor which is called the Labyrinth. As explained in the entrance of the chapel, “the labyrinth is a sacred circle with a single path that leads to its center. Walking the path lends itself to prayer and meditation. This kinesthetic style of prayer is especially valuable during those times when words cannot express the depths of heights of our experience”.

Things to Prepare and Remember

  1. As of posting time, the price is PHP15,000
  2. No throwing of rice or confetti inside the chapel
  3. You have to provide your own priest, choir and flowers
  4. Marriage License
  5. Baptismal and Confirmation Certificates
  6. Certificate of Attendance (2 Sessions) of Pre-Cana Seminar at any Parish
  7. Canonical Interview with Msgr. Bongaling
  8. Marriage Banns
  9. Name and License No. of Officiating Priest
  10. Names of Principal Sponsors
  11. Chapel’s capacity is around 100 guests
  12. Limited Parking Space (can across the street)

How to Get There

From Tagaytay, take the way going to Nasugbu, Batangas. Turn left at the entrance of the Evercrest Hotel and Resort (after Petron Station). You won’t miss this hotel as it has a huge entrance gate. Chapel on the Hill is located about a kilometer from the entrance. Just ask the guards for directions but it is located on the left side. It shares the same main gate entrance with Calaruega Church, the hotel and Don Bosco.

Hi! I would like to know how much it would cost me to have my wedding ceremony in this chapel and also to reserve it. Would it also be possible if I can hold my wedding reception somewhere in the vicinity so as the family and guests wouldn\’t have to drive to the reception? If not, can you suggest nearby reception places?

    Thanks!

For all you people who wants to know the price to have your wedding at this Chapel, it costs Php15k. Downpayment is php5k. They only have 2 weddings during Saturdays and Sundays only held at 2pm and 5pm. Php15k only covers the cost of the chapel itself. For flower decorations, you have to shoulder it separately. And the Priest who organizes the weddings is kinda strict with the decorations too.

For availability and reservations, you may coordinate with their Tagaytay Office and hurry!

I can proudly say that November 8 2009 2pm is already reserved for My Wedding!!

what is the contact number for their tagaytay office? hope someone can respond here regarding the availability of the dates may 8, 2010 or january 8, 2011, please. thank u so much.

how much would a wedding cost?
and what is the nearest place to have an reception?

  • honeybaby said:

@ beverley – you need to go to Tagaytay to see if the date that you want is still available. and if it is, go ahead ad book it!

@ JV – i believe i already answered your question. it costs 15k to have the wedding there. it only covers the use of the chapel and the cost doesn\’t include flower decorations.

the nearest available reception is the hotel in front of the chapel. Evercrest. Sonya\’s Garden is near too.

    Greetings!

We intend to marry by October 2010. Would like to know to whom can we get in touch to regarding the rate the church charges as well as other pertinent information for booking of a wedding? is there also an area within the church grounds for a possible reception? as we intend to have the ceremony and reception in one venue for efficiency.

I can be reached through the following: jpdrodriguez@gmail.com or (0928) 504.7093

    Thank you!
