Invitations by Printed Matter

25 September 2007 13 Comments

Printed Matter is the brainchild of the husband and wife team of Kerwin & Phoebe Chua. It all started when Phoebe, a graduate of the Art Institute of Seattle, wanted to have a very unique set of Invites for their wedding. Conceptualizing unique and eye-catching invitations, her ideas were noticed by a popular Web-Based group of Soon to Weds called W@Wies, a popular e-group belonging to the Weddings at Work website. Not long after, requests came pouring in, asking Phoebe to help them achieve their own “Personalized-Look” for their own wedding invites, and after months of hard work; Printed Matter was rewarded by being voted into the top 10, and top 5 Wedding Suppliers of the year by the W@Wies. At present, Printed Matter has slowly expanded its services to help cater to clients from different areas. Opening a Design Studio at the Oasis , a wedding venue in Aurora Blvd., San Juan to cater to clients in the Manila, Q.C. & Greenhills area. Then on May of this year opened Printed Matter Express; a retail kiosk at the Glorietta Activity Center (between McDonald’s & Esprit) to cater to clients from Makati, Alabang and further South, and very soon (November, 2007) they will be opening Printed Matter Concept a “Concept Store” at the 2nd Floor of Serendra in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig to cater to clients who want their very own special ideas turned to reality! Lastly, Printed Matter wouldn’t be where it is now, had it not been for all your support through the past two years.

Testimonials:

“We had no problem dealing with Michelle; Madali sya kausap and nakuha nya agad yung mga corrections na gusto namin (although simple lang naman yung design namin) so there was no need to come back several times.” — Bern & Via

“mabilis gumawa si Kerwin. Our STD cards were only made 2 days. Our invites were made only for 1 week. Our guestbook, 2 days lang din. Kerwin gave us pa tips how to make our invite envelope” –Jojo & Sp

“I absolutely loved our wedding invitation. It was custom-made pop-up caricature invite. They were able to come up with a design that satisfied both our desires. Everyone was telling us how cute and lovely they were, from the main invite to the entourage list, they were commenting that it was nicer and unique than most wedding invitations they’ve received. The invite was able to convey the tone we wanted to set for the wedding festivities and create excitement by having a beautifully customized invite.” — Mike & Mia

“I had good feedback din sa invites. Sinasabi ng mga invitees namin na the invites daw were very unique and cute and very personalized. Kaming kami!” — Eric & Edel

I was searching for a place to order personalized invitations online and found several that I want to tell you about, http://www.cardsshoppe.com/Party_Invitations/Party_Invitations_Cards-11-1.htm, http://www.holiday-invitations.com/Christmas-Invitations-Cards/browse-21.htm, http://www.invitations-shoppe.com/Invitations_Cards/Mardi_Gras_Invitations_Cards-5-1.htm and http://www.cardspersonalized.com. These sites have cute and unique party invitations for all occasions. You can use my own wordings, and they have lots of sample party verses and sayings for me to use. I ordered from http://www.express-invitations.com/party_invitations/Party-Invitations-Cards.php, and party invitations cards were beautiful.

All the misspelling, improper cut out (even the border marks are still there). i can\’t believe how these people still stay in business. If they are saving their laser printer, spare me and I could have just them a new machine.

And putting a wrong wedding date (10 months ago) is a deliberate sign that they are recycling their work. The pop-up does not even resemble any physical or character similarities.

Probably Phoebe has lost her touch or have personal problems that has escalated into her work which is like rubbish, full of unprofessionalism and a customer service that is way below dirt.

And them being associate to w@w is a shame. Imagine asking a client to make effort for her royal availability at 7pm in the evening? Is she running a business or what? You can\’t even send the changes over email. Warning for overseas couple, you money will be wasted in courier with this supplier. And when she talks on the phone, she always see to it to speak like she is just gone to bed. And they have a strange pricing that will start at at 60 and will end at 150. I felt so ripped off.

If there is anything that I can say, they should be close now. When I get back to the Philippines I will see to it that their company will face closure.

yeah, the problem with printed matter is that the customer has to adjust with the owner’s availability. ugh!!! seems like they are not that serious with running a proper business.

my sister and i ordered personlaized ntbks from printed matter at SM The Block… hay naku! they misplaced ONE ntbk of my sister which was delivered to Glorietta and they actually asked her to pick it up from there! and then my ntbks, which i had slightly altered the following day i ordered them (and the alterations were received and confirmed by Alicia of their production team) wasnt executed so i had to wait pa! nice products but awful service. sayang.

it’s really cute.. can i know the price per card? thanks..

yes, I agree that Printed Matter’s designs are very unique…but i also FULLY agree with the comments of Tainted: “the problem with printed matter is that the customer has to adjust with the owner’s availability” and just to add..they DO NOT REALLY KNOW WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS!

We were supposed to see the draft of our invites last week but when we got to the store, it’s not there! And we waited for 3-4 hours only to be advised that we still have to wait for to days..

    Really bad customer service….

You know i thought their concept is actually unique and they might have a fresh look at how customer servicing is. however, i think they have gotten big for their own good, . the owner should be sensitive to the customers and should not sound patronizing . i had ordered several pieces only of invites but paid for the processing fee and rush costs of the invites and when i got the proof, it looked like an invitation for a funeral occassion. I really think that they need to take stock of how things should be and what is the meaning of customer service. Their idea might be unique but what’s more important is to treat each customer with respect and courtesy no matter how few pieces or how many, it still is business. Phoebe Chua is very suplada over the phone and very very patronizing (you can hear it in her voice). And whats this delivery at 8 pm only and i was made to wait some more because its traffic!!! isn’t it that the delivery people should make allowance for the traffic especially coming from san juan to makati? This shd not be a concern of their customers! Can you imagine having to have a customer wait for something that she paid for already? Very arrogant. never again will i make the mistake of having something printed by them. I only have them made several pieces because i lack the time to do it on my own and would rather pay for the convenience, however, it seemed that i was inconvenienced more :-( Very poor service, as in!!!

Also where did you get a printer who will just print and not design or correct or even improve the wordings of the invite? Sheesh!!!
