It’s very odd, this is the only printing business that hasn’t responded to my large inquiry (large meaning more money spent). I will visit the location this weekend to make sure, but if anyone knows if they had closed please post!

Your printer is not your copy editor. Please do not take this the wrong way. It’s useful advise for all of us who want anything done properly. Unless otherwise stated, the printers aren’t even supposed to touch the design (again, unless they designed the item to begin with), copy, or any other element in the file. Printers print.

Now, if you ask them to edit the design (especially if they came up with it and within reasonable parameters e.g. all revisions done in one fell swoop or a maximum of 2 revisions, etc.), it’s fair for you, the client, to expect that they will. But, unless the service also offers copyediting, that is a totally different matter. Besides, who would or could you trust with your text? If they see some mistakes within your text, it would be nice of them to point it out, but in all fairness, it’s not their job.

Thanks for sharing feedback regarding customer service. On this point, my particular friend might not get along with them but someone else might.
