been so helpful and cool and collected. She also been one of those suppliers who was at the receiving end of successive text messages and e-mails from me. She was able to customize a menu that suited our theme and was very receptive to ideas as well. Everyone loved the food and went home with probably an inch or two wider around the waist. In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, she had someone fabricate a 3-tier wrought iron cake stand which she filled with mini bibingka galapong. We also served fresh-off-the-coals bibingka and puto bumbong together with do-it-yourself halo-halo. Oh and there was a dirty ice cream cart as well. Suffice it to say, no one went home hungry that evening. Her staff was very attentive and courteous as well. All the dining utensils were clean and linens immaculate. Nice offerings. BAD EXECUTION.
With a seemingly excellent package combining good food and sophisticated wedding reception set-up, it would be easy to choose K by Cunanan over other caterers. However, when it comes to delivery on the wedding day itself, they fall short on many counts. Here’s a helping of their shortcomings.
1. They provided in advance a reception layout showing the table numbers, on which the seating arrangements were planned, only to implement a different numbering on the day itself.
2. They provided a frame, which could be displayed with the couple’s picture in the registration area, but it was broken.
3. Quality of food was not as good as those served during the food tasting.
4. Too little food – I believe the couple ordered more than enough food for their guest size. At dinner though, it looked like the food actually served was not what was agreed – even if the actual guest size was below expectations, food was running out even before the reception ended.
To summarize, we were not all too happy about their service. I hope future planners and couples will find this sharing useful.
