Paco Park Church or St. Pancratius Chapel
Brief Description:
Again this is one of the edifices built during the Spanish regime completed in 1820. It is actually a former municipal cemetery for the well-heeled and established aristocratic Spanish families.
On December 30, 1896, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, was interred in Paco Park after his execution in Bagumbayan (Luneta). In 1966, the park was converted into a national park during the term of President Diosdado Macapagal.
The church has a nice façade and an egg-shaped ceiling. It is very small and ideal for intimate weddings. The chapel is under the care of the Vincentian fathers who also manage the nearby Adamson University.

Capacity: Small (less than 100)
Parking: Parking along the streets. Be ready with your small bills to pay the “watch your car boysâ€.
Photo/Video Requirement:
- No permit.
- No choir loft.
- Airconditioned.
- A fisheye lens will capture the entire interiors of the church.
- Limited space to walk around the altar.
- Ideal for intimate weddings since everybody can hear what the priest is saying even without a microphone.
- During the procession, it is best to walk from the fountain to the altar so there will be outdoor and indoor shot of the entourage.
- Group pictures are a bit tricky so small groups are preferred. Big groups are best taken outside the church.
- During the recessional, tell your photographer to take the picture on top of the cement chairs outside. The overhead shot will give a different perspective of an otherwise ordinary shot.
Others:
- Take portraitures on the church grounds. There are so many places to do it in Paco Park.
- Don’t forget to capture the fountain as a background or foreground for your images.
- Advise your photographer to take candid shots along Roxas Boulevard or the Bay Walk. This is very near Paco Church and most likely along the way to your reception.
Possible Reception Venues:
- Within Paco Park grounds
- Diamond Hotel
- Sofitel
- Manila Hotel
- Father Blanco’s Garden
- Sitio Victoria
- Puerta Real Gardens
- Ramon Magsaysay Center

Hi,I\’m getting married this Dec2008. I\’m planning to have my wedding venue and also my reception at Paco Park but I\’m quite confuse if what is the best time to get wed there. Is it before lunch or at 5pm? Which is more economical between the two but still worthy coz I have a slight tight budget. Also, any catering services that you may recommend to me.Thank you for your help.
