The Ballroom is a fully air-conditioned function area designed to comfortably accommodate 200 up to 250 guests and is already equipped with high quality basic sound system. It is perfect for every event where celebrants can share their intimate and special moments with family and guests. It is designed with high ceiling and enclosed with glass windows and doors to allow a better view of the outside landscaped surroundings including the Garden Pool. For an easy and comfortable view of the couple or celebrants by their guests, an elevated stage was designed for the purpose.

PAVILION VENUE

The Pavilion is a semi-open function area space ideal for a garden-type setting celebration, perfect for poolside wedding ceremonies. It can accommodate 250 up to 400 guests and is already equipped with high quality basic sound system. It is designed with a roof deck area where guests can also be seated or wedding rites can be held. Its spacious promenade area is landscaped with waterfalls, fountains, and lush greenery including the Gazebo Pool to provide the feeling of calming and conclusive surroundings.

Paradiso – the stately royal palms and serenity waterfalls of Paradiso create a totally new ambiance of a tropical paradise. This multi-level garden can accommodate 200 people. If that isn’t enough, it can be combined with the adjacent Pergola, Terazza and Galera areas to accommodate up to 500 people.

Pergola – A smaller but beautifully manicured nature-inspired garden can be dressed up beautifully for weddings. It can comfortably seat 70 guests and this is also the ideal place where a Mass or service can be performed.

Terraza – This three-tiered terrace is ideal for intimate wedding reception and can accommodate up to 100 people. The unique layered architecture of this area makes it ideal for private family get-togethers.

Intramuros – a minified version of Manila’s old walled city reminiscent of the 19th century Spanish architecture complete with adobe walls. This area can accommodate 100 people.

Galera – A perfect children’s playground and party place, Galera has an imposing 30-foot boat, a lighthouse, bridges and totem poles. Aside from being a kid’s play area, this venue can provide a nice backdrop of a pirate or galleon ship themed weddings.

Despite numerous obstacles and relatives’ thinking him crazy, Ponso was not discouraged. He borrowed money from friends to raise enough capital for his business plan. This was considered a pioneer undertaking then because land reclamation was not the usual practice at the time.

During the construction of the housing subdivision, someone thought of opening an eatery. The fish were plentiful and the workers needed to eat. Ponso opened the restaurant and named it after his wife, Josephine, whom many called Josie.

On December 22, 1966, the first Josephine Restaurant opened to the public. The people came in droves. They were eager to leave the hectic city life in Manila to enjoy the provincial air that boosted their appetite for fresh seafood.

Josie took over the entire business and imparted her culinary skills to her growing number of employees. JOSEPHINE RESTAURANT, The Home of Fresh Seafood became the family’s major line of business.

Encouraged by the restaurant’s success, Ponso and Josie soon opened the resort in May 1967. It was constructed on the opposite side of the fishpond from the restaurant. Josephine Restaurant later branched out to the cities of Cubao in 1972, Baclaran in 1973, Pasay in 1976, Makati in 1979, Greenhills in 1986 and Tagaytay in 1995.

Josephine Resort was also one of the first resorts outside of Manila. Schoolchildren from the city jammed into schoolbuses to take the historical tour of Kawit, where Philippine Independence was declared on June 12, 1898. They also enjoyed going to Josephine Resort for row boating, horseback riding, biking, swimming, bowling, skating and eating at Josephine Restaurant.

Throughout their years in business, Ponso and Josie met politicians, show business personalities and business moguls but always kept a low profile. Josie tried to teach her family the value of humility and frugality.

Today, 40 years later, Josephine Restaurant ages gracefully with time. There still is that provincial gentility people seek out and enjoy at Josephine Restaurant. The fishpond is especially placid as it reflects those famous Philippine sunsets. Patrons view it best from the restaurant balcony, the same balcony where Ponso used to sit and enjoy the fine home cooking tradition of his wife Josie.

Patio Victoria has two gardens-named after Cristina Gonzales-Romualdez’ (the owner) daughters Sofia and Diana – and an air-conditioned banquet hall. All three venues can accommodate as many as 1000 guests.

Both gardens have gazebos to protect guests against the sun and light showers. In case of heavy rains, the reception can move to the air-conditioned banquet hall. During brownouts, Patio Victoria also has generator to restore full power in less than one minute. There is also exclusive ample free parking for guests of the wedding people.

Sofia Garden:

The garden has been designed to evoke romance. It offers a special intimacy that is not present in many indoor venues. The well-tended and lush gardens are perfect venues for anyone’s wedding or debut.
