Tamayo’s Catering Services was brought into existence by the untiring efforts of its then proprietor, Mr. Steve Tamayo. A full-blooded Bulakeno, who brought with him a vast wealth of experiences in the line of Food and Beverage as he worked for Hyatt Hotel in Manila as Assistant Manager in Café al Fresco, Assistant Manager in Riviera Restaurant at the Heritage Hotel Manila, Manager at the La Patisserie Coffee Shop in Kuwait and Assistant Manager in La Palma Restaurant Kuwait International Hotel, and in Le Meredien Hotel and Hilton Hotel. With the enormous experiences, skills and ideas, he positively builds his own name in the Catering business bringing with him as his shining armor — Customer Satisfaction & Service Standard.

And in August 1998, with its unprecedented growth unabated (now with a pool of 7 vehicles, 3 branches), it was finally registered as a corporation at the Securities and Exchange Commission to better serve its growing clientele.

Despite an ever-increasing competition, its goal to build a name in the industry has never dwindled. With the commitment to preserve its excellent services and captivating dishes, Tamayo’s Catering Services inevitably climbs up the ladder of success. “Tamayo’s Package was the one with a great deal in comparison with
other caterer’s that are accredited by Coconut Palace. Various main
courses, salad & soup to choose from, plus it fit our budget. During
the food tasting our AE, Ms. Weng Bonzo was so accommodating & offered
us options to choose from, we booked them right away.
The set up was great, we loved it, specially the centerpieces of the
table, those were their standard part of the package. Plus they were

“am one of the lucky clients of tamayos catering, all my guests could say bout
the food are superb, delicious, at ang dami!!! heheh! umasa kang di ka mauubusan
at overflowing ang drinks depende sa choices mo ang variety ng drinks. di pa
nangangalahati ang glasses ng lahat pinapalitan na agad! excellent pati
presentation ng waiters nila..ibang klase! ung MOH ko ( Maid Of Honor} muntik na
raw mapasayaw eh, paparating pa lang ang mga waiters…hehhe! katuwa! ang
galing pati nilang magdesign ng place! ibang klaseng mag-arrange ng flowers!” — Helen

“Food is great (well d samin galing ang comment.. from almost all guests… kasi di namin natikman un food.. khit na we had a chance to eat.. as in meron time.. sabi nga ng head waiter.. bihira lang ang couple na nkakakain sa reception… but… sobrang saya namin.. d kami mkakain.. to think na di kami nag lunch…) table set up is really nice.. as in.. I didn’t expect na ganun kganda.. kasi nag ocular visit kami dun 2x… puro standard table setup ang nkikita namin.. even that is maganda.. but still d ko akalain na sobrang ganda ng setup.. for the package.. meron na syang lechon carving… I thought 1 lechon lng ang serve nila.. but it seems like 2 lechon… we chose sushi as one of our appetizers… because my friends really love sushi.. sobrang nag enjoy ang guests sa food.. dami kze food… for its price.. daming klase ng food.. ang maganda pa sa kanila.. you can mix and match from different menu packages.. bsta un no of menu type is d same… you can choose either bottomless iced tea or softdrinks, we chose iced tea kze not all drink softdrinks.. and me coffee/hot tea pa if you like.. Some of our sponsors even asked for their contact no…. meron me narinig 1 or 2 negative comments.. like prawn is not fresh.. but others say bitin nman sila sa prawns.. and others d daw nkatikim ng mango crepe and crème puffs… maybe naubos agad… we dunno.. but overall.. they loved the food… sobrang nabusog daw sila… — june

“food quality and taste was my no. 1
consideration and tamayo’s impressed me well the 1st time i had their food
tasting. our AE, Weng was very helpful and did not shortchange us of our
expectation. she was not only a sales person but a consultant as well with the
way she handled us. she was not the typical sales person that sells everthing
even if you don’t need it. she gave us worthwhile tips and advises on how not to
overspend. everything that i asked from her (from type of linen to use, flowers,
up to the minute details), she was able to deliver much to our delight during
the reception because it seemed that the veue was transformed into a 5 star
hotel ballroom! the flowers were very fresh (considering that they set up the
venue around 1pm, reception started 8pm na), my preferred
colors were followed, the buffet fountain was great, the principal sponsor’s
table & its certerpieces were so beautiful. our table was elegantly set up too.
and most of all, FOOD was DELICIOUS!” — malou

“I can say the food was great.. everybody enjoyed it. We got a bit
higher price package for the food coz we really want to treat our
guests. We even had lechon station for the guests. We even had more
than 1 food tasting at villa immaculada at intramuros.

Table setting was ok.. though kasi we didn’t go for the upgrades coz
we really have to budget our wedding… originally we wanted to
invite only 150 guests including our family but it ballooned to 250
guests tsk tsk.. so we decided to drop the upgrades just so we can
accomodate the additional 100 guests.” — Weng
