To-Do List Before Your Wedding

Is all that planning and organizing freaking you out? Worry Not. Here are some to-do list to keep you ahead of the game.

After the Proposal
* Determine your wedding date
* Start thinking about your wedding theme
12 Months Before
* Confirm your budget
* Book your venue
* Start shopping for the wedding gown and suit. Visit bridal shops to get quotations and see which designer you are most comfortable with
* Book a wedding planner if you need help with pulling the whole thing together
* Sign up for a facial package and go for facial treatment regularly
* Begin your exercise and diet regime

8 Months Before
* Book your wedding date
* Decide on gown designer and design
* Get suits tailored
* Send out “Save the Date” cards to guests, especially those overseas.
* Book your wedding photographer, especially if you intend to take studio shots and if your wedding falls in the peak months of March, June, September through December
* Book your vendors – makeup artists, florist, videographers, musicians, wedding car
* Invite people to be part of your wedding entourage – best man, maid of honor, bridesmaid, flower girl and ring bearer
5 Months Before

* Wedding gown should be fitted
* Confirm decoration theme and supplies
* Wedding invitation card design to be confirmed and sent to printer
* Caterers and banquet menu to be confirmed
3 Months Before
* Prepare your guest list and confirm numbers with venue and/or caterers
* Take all documents with you when registering your wedding
* Send out wedding invitations. Set RSVP 3 to 4 weeks before wedding day.
* Book your honeymoon
1 Month Before
* Go for food and wine tasting at the venue you have chosen
* Finalize RSVP list and seating arrangement
* Buy thank you gifts for parents and wedding entourage
2 Weeks Before
* Call or email guests to reconfirm attendance
* Arrange for a wedding rehearsal no more than 7 days before the actual event or everyone will forget what to do
* Finalize honeymoon details with travel agents
1 Week Before

* Pick up your wedding certificate and documents at the appointed date
* Pick up wedding rings from jeweller and check sizing of rings
* Pack your overnight luggage for your stay at the hotel and your wedding outfit and jewellery
* Prepare red packets and thank you gifts for helpers
* Go for your final facial before your wedding
2 Days Before
* Get manicure and pedicure done for yourself and your bridal entourage
On the Big Day
* Remind best man not to forget rings
* Leave final arrangements to the wedding planner and enjoy the biggest day of your life
